Lifestyle Landscaping's client desired colorful, naturalistic plantings that would envelope a seating area at the bottom of their sloping backyard so that they could sit, relax, and enjoy the view of their pond. Natural fieldstone outcroppings help to retain the slope as well as add bold, textural changes to the site's composition. A retaining wall was installed and heavily planted with a variety of creeping perennials to soften the stonework.

Landscape Design Associates took a bland backyard and created an inviting and colorful landscape complete with a water feature, deck, and bridge. By using various sizes of stones, they created several waterfall techniques resulting in the sound of soothing water cascading over rocks, splashing, and then flowing into a calm pond. Junipers, roses, and perennials add color and textural interest.

Schill Landscape Development installed decorative bluestone pavement and colorful garden plantings at this lakefront home to provide functional and aesthetic outdoor living spaces. The bluestone entrance court is surrounded by a white picket fence that draws from the homes architecture. The bluestone pavement is repeated in the garden paths that link the outdoor living areas together. The outdoor dining area is surrounded by colorful mixed planting beds and provides the perfect spot to entertain and enjoy lakefront views.
