The homeowners of this property were discouraged by the fact that when it rained, an area of their yard flooded and rendered their unique potting shed unusable. 9th Avenue Designs installed a hand-cut barnstone wall that diverted the water, but also produced a terraced landscape that created a focal point highlighting the rear of the garden. Timeless materials, indigenous plantings, hand carvings, and thoughtful lighting make the project cohesive and exciting.

These homeowners wanted their small, shaded, and empty backyard to be transformed into a lush garden - a quiet oasis with a modern, edgy twist. Lifestyle Landscaping installed sandstone paving the length of the yard to lead the eye to a narrow window that they cut into the existing fence. The window allows light in and views out and dramatically minimizes the boxed-in feeling of the space. A winding gravel path leading to a seating area gently crosses the sandstone paving - giving the homeowners a quiet, contemplative space for personal reflection.

Lifestyle Landscaping's client's request for a front patio was a bit unconventional. Designing the space so that it was large enough to be functional and yet small enough to be in scale with the home was a challenge. The planting scheme was carefully arranged so that it provided privacy from the street but also succession of bloom.
