Rice's Nursery & Landscaping designed and installed a quaint outdoor living space to give their client a comfortable retreat for relaxation and entertaining with friends and family. A new seat wall was installed to help define the space and create a sense of enclosure that was lacking in their original patio. During the day, a cedar pergola helps to filter the full sun exposure, while a gas burning fire pit and the soft glow of LED light fixtures allow this new outdoor living space to be enjoyed at night.

The Weidner Group set out to create an intimate and comfortable outdoor living space for their client that was located in a very limited and narrow area between the house and adjacent to the driveway. A pergola was added to act as an extension of the house and to provide intimacy. A variety of textures and color were used to help soften the large amounts of hardscape material surrounding the patio, while a knee wall and small plant bed were installed to provide a clear definition between the new patio and existing driveway.

American Beauty Landscaping designed a more natural and organic feel to their client's front entrance by using flagstone pavers and sandstone boulders. A new larger landing and wide angled steps allow for two adults to walk side by side. Plantings and extra subtle aesthetics help to create a welcoming and unique entrance to this split level home.

McCaskey Landscape & Design took a large and ugly patio and turned it into an inviting outdoor entertainment area for this Chardon home. The end result was a quaint, warm area that was able to be used on a daily basis, while allowing for enough room for the occasional large party. A two-tiered patio with a fireplace and sandstone steps were installed with special care taken to ensure that drainage was not a problem.
